John,
Halloween is the day after tomorrow,
and scary thoughts are on everyone's mind. Fortunately, you can
help put an end to some of our worst fears:

The fear that a garish hotel or a
trophy house will be built on private land inside Zion National Park.
The fear that Congress will never
pass a bill to fully fund the most important conservation resource we
have - the Land and Water Conservation Fund.
The fear that the Trump
Administration will put more national monuments on the chopping block,
open millions more acres to drilling and mining, and fast track
efforts to allow uranium mining around Grand Canyon National Park.
Rest assured, we are fighting these
nightmares. We are buying up private lots inside Zion and other
national parks and opening them to the public. We are lobbying hard
for passage of the full-funding bill. And we are working with
lawmakers and our allies in Congress to ensure public lands remain in
public hands, now and forever.
Fortunately, you have it in your power
to do even more to protect and expand Zion and other national parks
... to make sure the LWCF is fully funded every year ... to
build neighborhood parks where they're needed most ... to
conserve working farms, ranches, and forests ... to preserve our
natural and cultural heritage ...
