Deadline is Monday, Nov. 1 Hello John, Along with a quick reminder to share your story with the Senate Committee on Finance if you haven't had a to chance yet, we are excited to share the news of bipartisan legislation introduced this week to repeal the Medicare 190-day limit, one of the policy solutions Treatment Advocacy Center identified in our letter responding to the committee's request for information. Both the Senate and the House have introduced versions of the Medicare Mental Health Inpatient Equity Act— sponsored by Senators Susan Collins (R-ME) and Tina Smith (D-Minn.) in the Senate and by Representatives Paul D. Tonko (D-N.Y.) and Bill Huizenga (R-Mich.) in the House. Reminder! Please take a few minutes this weekend to share your story, connecting your family’s lived experience encountering SMI treatment barriers with one or more of our policy solutions. Use our form to send your message directly to the committee. They are accepting responses through Monday, November 1, 2021. TAKE ACTION Thank you for your advocacy on behalf of those with severe mental illness. Sincerely, Lisa Dailey Executive Director
