** MECKLER: Yes, Biden is to blame for rising gas prices

You may have noticed that gas costs a little more these days. Or, we should probably say, a lot more.
The current national average is $3.389, according to AAA. Last month, the average was $3.187, and a year ago, the average was only $2.160. The current high is approaching the all-time high, reached in 2008 during the Obama administration, of $4.114.
What's driving the current spike in prices? According to Convention of States Action President Mark Meckler, the Biden administration's commitment to overregulating and restricting the energy industry is primarily to blame.
"When you crack down on industry, when you threaten industry with regulation, you keep the energy industry from exporting, that's going to cause prices to rise. It's fundamentally a government problem," he said. "Government intervention is causing these prices to rise."

That intervention is causing real harm to everyday American families. The one-dollar spike in the national average over the last year results in an additional $700 per year for the average American family.
However, if you live in an area that has seen a sharper rise in prices, and you use more gasoline per year than average, Biden's policies are costing some families hundreds of dollars each month and thousands per year.
Many families can't afford this, especially these days. The COVID-19 lockdowns supported by the Biden administration have put a strain on many family budgets, and Biden's inflationary policies have made everyday items more expensive.
