www.bradyunited.org [www.bradyunited.org]John, In April, President Biden addressed Congress and promised action to address gun reform. But in six months, we have seen only limited action to stop our nation’s gun violence epidemic while mass shootings and gun violence in communities continues.

We’re witnessing the deadliest year for gun violence in decades and we cannot afford Biden’s inaction any longer, so we’re calling on him to take life-saving action NOW. Will you join us? Add Your Name: Demand that Biden act now to address this country’s gun violence epidemic. [[link removed] ]

source=2021GunReform_BU&referrer=group-brady-campaign&redirect=https%3A%2F%2Fsurveys.signforgood.com%2Fbrady-2021-august-awb ]Biden ran on one of the strongest gun violence prevention platforms in American history. We fought hard to elect him and other gun violence prevention champions so that they could finally protect our citizens from the scourge of gun violence. But this inaction has stretched from days into weeks and months, while this deadly epidemic continues to claim more lives.

Enough is enough. Biden’s action is quite literally a matter of life and death and we are demanding action now. Please, will you add your voice to this vital call to action? Sign our petition now and demand that Biden take action against gun violence now! [[link removed] ]

Thank you. Your action will help us save lives.

[[link removed]]Through advocacy and policy trainings, we’ll teach youth activists how to lobby their elected officials. Then, students will take their skills straight to their state capitols to help pass life-saving gun violence prevention legislation. In years past, students have met with gun violence prevention champions like Rep. Lucy McBath, Rep. Ted Deutch, and more — all while networking with fellow youth leaders and building leadership, policy, and advocacy skills.

Read and Share Our Domestic Violence Report: “Beyond Bullet Wounds: Guns In the Hands of Domestic Abusers”
In America, firearms are the weapon of choice for domestic violence homicides: In fact, female intimate partners are more likely to be murdered with a gun than by all other means combined.
The lethal connection between firearms and domestic violence demands immediate action — especially amid national crises, like the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our updated report addresses new concerns, providing activists, policymakers, community leaders, and more with tangible actions to address the lethal intersection of firearms and domestic violence in America. As we near the end of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, will share — and read — our updated report? It could help save a life.

[[link removed]]After weeks of intense negotiations in Congress, President Biden announced [[link removed]] that the landmark $5 billion for community violence intervention (CVI) funding, will remain a part of the Build Back Better Act! This is perhaps the largest investment in gun violence prevention ever.

This is a major step toward preventing gun violence, and it would not be possible without leaders like Executive Director of the Community Justice Action Fund (CJAF) Greg Jackson. Greg leads the Invest In Us Coalition [[link removed]] , a group comprised of diverse groups like Fund Peace, to advocate for community-centered solutions to end gun violence.
As a long-time community activist, Greg understands just how vital it is that local, on-the-ground organizations have the funding and resources they need to save lives. He nearly lost his [[link removed]] life in 2013, shaping his outlook on how to reduce gun violence through community intervention, especially for under-resourced Black and Brown communities that face the brunt of gun violence in America.

Thank you, Greg, for your tireless leadership and relentless work to end gun violence by investing in our communities.
