Sharpton: Biden Giving Kamala Harris ‘Marginal’ Assignments

In a Tuesday interview with the far-left website The Root, race hustler Al Sharpton lamented Vice President Kamala Harris’ assignments given to her by President Joe Biden, saying our first black vice president isn’t being used to her full potential despite her demonstrably catastrophic incompetence.

“I want to see her be used more effectively, and I think her being in charge of voting was important, but I question her other assignments,” Sharpton said.

Like the assignment to handle the border crisis, arguably the most critical assignment this administration could have doled out in the early months? That’s hardly “marginal.” But instead of managing that crisis competently, she ignored it in order to fly around Central America to hold climate change meetings.

“She was a prosecutor and a state attorney general, so she knows the criminal justice system and understands both sides,” Sharpton continued to blather. “She is also a black woman in the time of Breonna Taylor and other black women who have suffered racism, so I think that she should have those assignments and be able to get certain things to Congress.”

How has she suffered racism? She is vice president precisely because she’s black. (For that matter, Breonna Taylor wasn’t a victim of racism either. She was victimized by her drug-dealing boyfriend who opened gunfire on the police then stepped aside to expose her to return fire. Race had nothing to do with it.)

Kamala was no more qualified to be a prosecutor or attorney general than she is to be vice president. She’s a diversity hire with no political skills or insights whatsoever, only a lust for power and the determination to acquire it by any means necessary, and the American public has no confidence in her. But she’s black, so Sharpton wants her to have even more responsibility.

Sharpton Emphatically Calls America “A Racist Country” in His Eulogy for Black Man Killed by Policeman

On May 3, 2021, Sharpton delivered the eulogy at the funeral for Andrew Brown Jr., a black man who had died a few days earlier following an encounter with law enforcement. In his 22-minute eulogy, which was spent entirely on condemning America’s allegedly ubiquitous racism, Sharpton said that Brown had been: (a) “unjustly brought to death,” and (b) “unjustifiably and illegally” “execute[d].” “We must deal with the inequality in the criminal justice system today,” he declared. “… The challenge in these times is how we’re going to deal with policing in America and restoring the right to vote…. This must stop! Enough is enough! How many funerals do we have to have before we tell the Congress and the Senate that you’ve got to do something [in] these times?”

Sharpton also condemned black Republican Senator Tim Scott’s recent assertion that America is not a racist country. Among Sharpton’s remarks were the following:

  • “Seems something awkward to me where a white president [Biden] talked about white supremacy and a black senator said that America’s not racist. Seem a little strange to me. Now, everybody in America is not racist. But are you talking about whether the practice of America is racist, or the people? Because the practice of America was built on racism. It was against the law for us to read and write. It was against the law for us to marry. It was against the law for us to name our children after us. We were brought here to work and never get paid. That’s how the country was built…. What do you mean America is not racist? It was started off racism!”
