Infrastructure Vote Delayed… Again.

The infrastructure vote has been delayed again as a chunk of the Progressive Caucus refused to vote for the bill — which they support — until the Democratic social spending package is also brought to a vote.

In the wake of the House infrastructure vote being pulled at the last minute — again — four things seem clear.

  1. Hostage Taking is Being Rewarded
  2. Leaders are Not Keeping Their Word
  3. President Biden Has Done Little to Pass His Own Bill
  4. The Reconciliation “Process” is a Rush Job

We are outraged by this behavior.  If the media fairly and fully covered these developments, we are confident a large majority of the American people would be, too. This is no way to govern a country.

No Labels is reviewing what’s in this emerging 2,700+ page, one-party reconciliation bill before we recommend action. Sign up for No Labels View, our weekday morning email with a quick rundown of all the biggest political news from a No Labels perspective, to be the first to know more as we read the bill.

No Labels Member Briefing with Rep. Tom Davis (R-VA)

The Virginia gubernatorial race, where Democratic former Gov. Terry McAuliffe was once favored over Republican Glenn Youngkin, is now too close to call. Up the road in New Jersey, polls have tightened in Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy’s reelection race as President Biden’s approval ratings have declined.

On Wednesday, November 3 at 3:30 PM ET, the day after these key elections, former Rep. Tom Davis (R-VA) will join us to discuss the results. Davis will dig in on why McAuliffe’s race in his home state became such a nail-biter. The former National Republican Congressional Committee chairman will also detail what the results may portend for the race for House control in 2022.
