On my fourth day serving in Congress, I was in the House Chamber as a violent insurrection took place at our nation’s Capitol, planned and carried out by those who did not believe Joe Biden was the duly elected President of the United States.
This week, we learned that several Members of Congress — my colleagues, who, like me, took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States — were involved in the planning and coordination of the rally that led to the deadly attacks.
During my time serving in Congress thus far, I have been a strong voice against the Members of Congress who have no respect for our rule of law, including introducing a resolution to censure Marjorie Taylor Greene. But she and her far-right extremist allies have plenty of support and are eager to take back control of the House in 2022. We absolutely cannot let that happen.
With our campaign’s end-of-month fundraising deadline quickly approaching, I’m hoping you can chip in $5 or more to ensure I have the resources to stand up to these extremist attacks and stay in Congress.
