Friend,
We’re starting to learn a lot more about the role that some members of Congress played in the January 6th attacks.
A recent Rolling Stone report claims that two organizers of the “Stop the Steal” rally were in regular contact not just with the Trump White House, but also with several members of Congress. The participants were even led to believe that they’d be issued presidential pardons after the events of that day.
According to the report, one of the ringleaders in Congress coordinating with the insurrectionists was none other than Lauren Boebert.
I believe we’re only scratching the surface of what transpired on Capitol Hill that day. But if this story is true, any member of Congress who helped the organizers of that attack must be removed from office as soon as possible.
Let’s all stop pretending that January 6th was intended to be a peaceful protest. If promises were being made about presidential pardons, that tells you everything you need to know about what they wanted to do that day.
It’s one thing (a very bad thing) for a misguided group of angry, violent people to show up and attack our Capitol. It’s an entirely different ballgame if members of the United States Congress helped make it happen.
Lauren Boebert took an oath of office to swear to uphold and defend the Constitution. She violated that oath three days later.
We’re just about $11,000 away from reaching our October fundraising goal to stay on track to expand our work in taking on the Sedition Caucus in Congress — will you chip in today and help reach this grassroots goal? Thank you,
Amy
