OAC MEETS WITH THE WHITE HOUSE

On October 15, President and CEO Joe Nadglowski met with the White House Domestic Policy Council (DPC). He was joined by Hannah Martin from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Dr. Fatima Stanford from Harvard/Mass General. The OAC was asked to contribute to the conversation about efforts to expand providers under Medicare Part B and problems with Medicare Part D, which prohibits obesity medication. Additionally, they discussed the consequences of untreated obesity, inequities and the impact obesity has had on COVID-19.

OAC PARTNERS WITH NOVO NORDISK ON "IT'S BIGGER THAN ME" MOVEMENT

The OAC is proud to be an official partner of Novo Nordisk’s “It’s Bigger Than Me” Movement to change perceptions about living with the disease of obesity. Obesity is a serious health condition and not a character flaw. “OAC and Novo Nordisk have a long-standing relationship in the effort to change the way we talk about obesity, treat it and most importantly, change the way we care about people with obesity,” said Joe Nadglowski, OAC President and CEO.
