After our successful 2021 campaign and earning a third consecutive mandate from Canadians, today we are also filing our Q3 fundraising results with Elections Canada – and the results are record-breaking. 57,146 Canadians chipped in more than $7.64 million towards our work together to keep Canada moving forward, for everyone. That makes Q3 of 2021 the strongest fundraising quarter in the history of the Liberal Party of Canada.
With a median donation of just $20 at a time, grassroots donors from coast to coast to coast are making a real difference every day. That's incredible work! And it shows what’s possible when we come together to build a better future.
Because of you, our Liberal team was able to run successful campaigns all across the country. Here are a few of my own favourite highlights and figures:
18 million knocks and calls on the road to Election Day
159 dedicated Liberal MPs elected for a third consecutive mandate
Key progress for representation in Parliament, with a Liberal caucus that includes 57 women, 4 LGBTQ2 MPs, and 49 MPs who are Black, Indigenous, or People of Colour.
First Liberal leader since Louis St. Laurent to win the most B.C. seats in two different elections
First government in more than four decades to win the most Quebec seats in three straight elections
Right now, the team is getting ready to hit the ground running when Parliament returns on November 22nd to move forward on the priorities that matter most to you. That means finishing the fight against COVID-19, putting home ownership back within reach, accelerating the fight against climate change, strengthening long-term care and our universal health care system, and continuing our work together to advance reconciliation, and so much more.
