After months of calling on Congress, knocking on doors, and organizing across the country, yesterday President Biden announced the framework for the Build Back Better Act ? which contains the strongest action the U.S. has ever taken to combat the climate crisis.

The landmark framework of Build Back Better will put the U.S. on the path to cutting our climate pollution in half by 2030, create good-paying union jobs, and invest directly in communities of color who unfairly bear the brunt of pollution and climate-related disasters. After years of fighting together, this is the most transformational climate legislation ever.

The finish line is in sight, but we need your help to get there. Now that the Build Back Better framework is released, the House and the Senate still need to pass it before it heads to the president's desk. There's no room for error ? and to make sure that it passes with every climate provision intact, we need your help.

These are just a few of the climate and environmental justice highlights in the Build Back Better framework that we must show support for: Robust tax incentives for clean energy, transmission, vehicles, manufacturing, innovative technologies, and energy efficiency that will save households hundreds of dollars annually Electric vehicle purchase incentives that support union jobs and American manufacturing and can help meet the goal of electric vehicles being 50% of new cars by 2030 Air and water pollution reductions focused in frontline communities Clean Energy and Sustainability Accelerator that delivers 40% of investments to disadvantaged communities to help meet the President's Justice40 initiative Creating a Civilian Climate Corps with a diverse workforce of over 300,000 members Restoring protections to the Arctic Refuge Ban new oil and gas leasing off the east coast, west coast, and eastern Gulf of Mexico And so much more. As climate impacts are ravaging communities in nearly every corner of this country, we simply are out of time. The Build Back Better Act is truly the transformational climate action that we need.

But it all hangs on the line ? and it's absolutely critical that your members of Congress hear from you to push it over the finish line.
