[[link removed]]Dear Friend,
As Bloomberg reported [[link removed]] today, Economic Liberties sent a detailed letter [[link removed]] to the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Securities and Exchange Commission, laying out the case for criminal investigations into Mark Zuckerberg, Sheryl Sandberg, and other Facebook executives.
Our letter is also coupled with a public petition campaign [[link removed]] . We're arguing that Facebook's longstanding track record of unethical and potentially illegal behavior deserves criminal investigation. And that no one, no matter how powerful, is above the law.
Sign the Public Petition [[link removed]]Public enforcers must hold corporations and powerful individuals accountable to the law when they violate it. As Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco said yesterday, “accountability starts with the individuals responsible for criminal conduct.” And as Zephyr Teachout explained on Morning Joe today, there are real criminal questions here.
[link removed] [[link removed]]Facebook is a test of whether the rule of law will begin to be applied to the powerful.
We're fighting to ensure it is. Fight with us.
