Necessities need to be affordable.

Dear Friends,

As you know, people need IDs for everything: housing, jobs, medical care, school, and more. But some states charge so much for IDs that the most vulnerable among us can't get them. A primary example is Oregon, where an ID costs $44.50 (a license costs $60) and a REAL ID adds $30 to the standard license/permit/ID fee. That's $74.50 or more whether you're a veteran, senior citizen, foster youth, or homeless.

Looking at the best and most current available data, almost 3% of Oregon's population is homeless. Nearly 8% of Oregon's adult population is comprised of veterans. While there may be some demographic overlap, exorbitant DMV fees negatively impact too many people.

But we can change that. And you can help!
