Dear John,

Why do I serve?

The story started on November 23, 2012. My son Jordan was sitting in the back seat of a friend's car at a gas station when a man pulled up next to them, complaining about "loud music." That man pulled out a gun and fired ten shots into the car, killing Jordan.

After my son's death, I swore I would do everything I could so that no family would ever experience the type of pain I did. I was a mom on a mission, so I decided to run for Congress.

And in 2018, you all helped me become the first Democrat to represent Georgia's 6th District since 1979.

Since then, we've accomplished so much. One of my proudest moments was when the House passed the Bipartisan Background Checks Act, which I co-sponsored.

However, Republicans aren't happy and are trying to use their dark money to take back my seat. They want to rig the system and suppress the vote to stop me from winning again.

I need as much support as I can get to ensure that doesn't happen.

So please, donate $25 to the Democratic Party of Georgia today to help make sure Democrats like me win in 2022! >> [link removed]
