Hi Friend! Did you hear that United We Dream is coming out with their first-ever Zine this November? And guess what - I'm one of the artists’ featured in it!
Let me tell you more about me and my art: My name is Jasmine Parish Moreno and I write to you from the great city of Houston, Texas. Growing up, I learned to take great pride in my Iranian and Mexican heritage, and have always drawn inspiration from my distinct first-generation experiences.
My piece in the UWD Zine was my first creative writing endeavor, and I wanted to create something that captured both my personal childhood, and the shared essence of the immigrant experience; the struggles, the triumphs and the overarching self-love and self-worth that flows through it all. đź’—

And! You’ll receive reminder texts for the upcoming live streams UWD is doing with me and other artists.
UWD’s “Immigrant Made” Zine was created entirely by undocu youth writers and artists like me. Through our art, we want to remind our communities that being immigrant is beautiful! And to reclaim pride, self love, and inherent worth for our immigrant cultures.
So, don’t miss out on getting special perks to immigrant-made art featured in the Zine before it launches this November! Get VIP access here.
With love,
Jasmine and the rest of the UWD Team
