After losing the House, the Senate, and the White House in 2020, Republicans are taking aim at voting rights in order to undercut our Democratic House Majority.

I was so proud to cosponsor and vote for the passage of the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act through the House last summer. This historic legislation would restore the full protections of the 1965 Voting Rights Act and outlaw racially discriminatory voting practices.

Now it’s up to the Senate to take action and protect voting rights for generations to come. If you agree that voter suppression must end, please add your name to our petition right away.

Voter suppression efforts do not only infringe on the constitutional rights of millions of Americans; they will also make it that much harder for Democrats to win and compete in competitive districts like mine in 2022.
