I’m Eddie’s Inner Monologue.

I’m the little voice in Eddie’s brain that’s the driving force behind almost literally everything that he does. Before you complain, I take no responsibility whatsoever for his lame jokes, but I take ALL the credit for the good ones. If it made you laugh, it’s mine, and I’m very proud of it.

I didn’t come up with those great jokes just for kicks, though — it’s all in service of reaching people who have never felt included in the political process, so we can flip this seat and help Democrats hold the House. Validate me with a donation and help us do it!

I give Eddie lots of grief about asking for money and sending emails three times a week to you, dear reader (again, you’re welcome for the funny bits and compelling content). So, perhaps it’s a little ironic that I agreed to write one of these.

But here's the truth: Eddie is in this race for the right reasons. He really cares about the things he’s fighting for: climate justice, universal health care, protecting our democracy from actual insurrectionists like Scott Franklin. And while I often complain to him about asking people for money, I also remind him that he’s falling behind his fundraising pace from last quarter!

That’s why I’m writing this email that Eddie sort-of-knows-about-but-sort-of-doesn’t (brains are complicated). We’ve got to get Eddie elected next November so he can go to Congress and pass policies that work for ALL of us — including the voices in people’s brains. I cannot tell you enough how much I’m looking forward to representing the 15th district here in Florida and telling Eddie how proud I am of him. (He deserves some encouragement now and again.)
