John,
I am so grateful to see the generous giving and commitment of our supporters during Alliance San Diego's Annual Giving Campaign [[link removed]] . It's because of this support that Alliance San Diego can continue seeking justice for human and civil rights, and work to end the culture of abuse and impunity of law enforcement agencies that harm our communities. You can still make a gift to support our efforts.

As I write to you, I think of Anastasio Hernandez Rojas, a longtime San Diego resident who was brutally killed by federal law enforcement officials in 2010 despite eye witness and video evidence showing the excessive use of force inflicted on Anastasio. To this day, no one has been held accountable, convicted or let alone disciplined. We are standing alongside Anastasio's family in seeking justice. Together with our partner, we are also representing the family in the groundbreaking petition before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. [link removed]
Each and every one of us, regardless of where we come from or who we are, deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. It's up to us to shine light on the systems of oppression and build systems of liberation so we can all exercise our dignity.
Can you make a donation right now to support Alliance San Diego's work to protect human and civil rights?
