I have big news to share that I want you to hear from me first: I've decided not to run for re-election to the House of Representatives in November 2022.

The reason is simple: Leading a movement to save the Republic is more important to me than winning a seat or title for myself.  And let's be honest, the real progress and renewal that we're hungry for isn't going to come from politics as usual.

Instead, it has to come from the outside, from you and me. No one is coming to our rescue. We must be the heroes of this story; we are the ones we've been waiting for.

As I've been contemplating the future, it's impossible not to think about the big decisions of the past.  And the common thread I've found when personally faced with risk -- whether it was the decision to join the Air Force, run for Congress, impeach the President, or serve on the 1/6 Committee -- is that putting my country first has never steered me wrong.  America has always been a good bet.  And I know in my bones that it still is.

Thank you for your moral support of this movement, and for all we'll do together to take Country First to the next level!  I couldn't do it without you, and wouldn't want to.
