Dear Friends, It's no secret that politics can be a contact sport. And while a little competition is a good thing, it's important that we always strive for truth. It's unfortunate that my opponent has drifted from the truth in an effort to score cheap political points. This week, she sent out a campaign email claiming that attendance at my events is dwindling.... The above quote from my opponent's email could not be further from the truth. In the past several weeks, we were proud to host a campaign kickoff with hundreds of fired-up Tarrant County Conservatives in attendance. After that, a campaign fundraiser with Glenn Beck and Rafael Cruz raised $100,000 in one night (!!). One thing Betsy grossly misunderstands is that explaining the facts to voters is not divisive, and it is not an attack. I believe anyone running for office should be totally transparent about their record- and be held accountable by the voters they are seeking to represent. And the truth is, her record SHOULD make conservatives angry! No conservative I know.... She proudly labels herself as a moderate, and it's high time we send a message that Tarrant County needs and wants unapologetic, bold conservative leadership.
