The toll the military offensive is having on innocent children in Syria is too much to fathom.

These children have suffered the physical scars of war, and also the mental ones. This isn’t the first time they’ve had to run for their lives or the only time they’ve been sick, terrified and showing signs of severe distress.

Thus far, the offensive and subsequent destabilization has displaced 80,000 children. At least three have died and 31 have been injured, and these are just the ones that organizations on the ground have been able to count. It is critical that we provide immediate support for Syrian children and their families.

Donate now to help us support Syrians fleeing the military offensive in the northeast and violence throughout the country. Your support will also help us reach children and families caught in crises around the world.

The Syria crisis represents the greatest humanitarian and political failure of our time. And the defining characteristic of this war is its disregard for civilian life.

Throughout the conflict, civilians as well as hospitals and ambulances continue to be targets of barrel bombs, mortars and airstrikes. What children are witnessing in northeast Syria is no different.

This is not a time when any of us can throw our hands up and say this conflict is too tough and has gone on for too long. It is a time when we must dig deep and step up our support. There are too many children who are counting on us.

Donate now to help us provide Syrians, and families around the world, with urgent medical care, emergency food, mental health support and other lifesaving services.
