John: Ted Cruz called me a liar. Why? Because I’m not afraid to expose him for what he is.

When Ted Cruz defended a parent at a school board meeting for gesturing with a Nazi salute, he showed his true colors. Plain and simple. People like Ted don’t belong in Congress. 

When I called him out for his actions, he went on the attack. Over the last 24 hours, he’s called me names, tweeted threats my way, and tried to smear my name on FOX News. Ted’s gone on the defensive because he knows he was in the wrong. 

John: I know standing up to corrupt Republicans like Ted puts a target on my back, but I refuse to back down. Will you make a donation to my movement before Sunday’s deadline to show the strength of what we’re doing? Chip in now to show Republicans that Americans want accountability in Congress, not Nazi sympathizers.

The truth is, John, I know it would be easier to just keep my head down in Congress. We’d get a lot fewer threats from enraged Tucker fans and we’d probably encounter fewer attacks from phonies like Ted too. But that’s not the name of the game.

When I was elected to Congress, I promised to fight on behalf of my constituents in CA-15 and Americans everywhere. The American people deserve elected officials who work for them, and I will continue the fight for accountability from corrupt Republicans who would rather do anything else.
