The GOP AG political war against COVID safety wages on.
Friend,
Our team believes that communities deserve leaders who will level with us, back scientific facts, and prioritize our health and safety over personal political interests.
For decades, vaccine requirements have existed in order to serve in the military, attend public schools, travel, and so much more. They’re commonsense safety protocols that have been around for a very long time, and have helped keep our communities safe from terrible diseases.
In spite of this, Republican Attorneys General like indicted Texas AG Ken Paxton are planning lawsuits to prevent the Biden Administration from successfully implementing these important health precautions. Pro-Trump Arizona AG Mark Brnovich is also requesting a restraining order to prevent the Biden administration from taking this crucial step.
We can’t let these challenges to commonsense policies go unanswered, team.
Look, these actions are part of a recurring pattern: Republican AGs all over the country are politicizing a deadly pandemic, and the repercussions are incredibly destructive to our communities.
Last week, several high-ranking public officials in the state of Montana “harassed and threatened” hospital administrators to go against doctors’ orders and give Ivermectin, a drug used to deworm horses, to a patient who was suffering from COVID-19 — despite this treatment not being authorized or clinically approved by the FDA or CDC.
While we don’t know exactly who these public officials applying pressure to the hospital staff were, extremist conservative Montana AG Austin Knudsen is on the record having a call with executives at that exact hospital the very same week.
Whatever took place on that call, we know one thing for sure: Republican AGs across the country are fiercely against commonsense measures that will protect public health.
Friend, we believe in science, and we know you do too. In 2022 we have an opportunity to replace anti-science Republicans with Democratic AGs who will put their trust in our medical professionals.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and with more than 30 AG seats up for grabs in the next two years, we need your support – will you chip in today?
