Dear John, Across the state several municipal elections will be decided on November 2nd, and Florida Rising is throwing down through the weekend and into next week to make sure that we get our people out to vote! You've no doubt heard that local elections have the most direct impact on our everyday lives, and it has never been more clear that our local elections can and will determine the future direction of our communities—it's why we must take action to get our folks out to vote. Floridians must rise to vote for the issues that matter most to us and our families. This year, we are voting for ourselves, our families and our friends and the candidates who see us and will fight with us. We have been doing the work to inform voters of their choices in the November 2nd municipal elections taking place in Miami, Orlando, and St. Petersburg and in the special election to replace the late Congressman Alcee Hastings in Congressional District 20 which includes communities in Broward and Palm Beach counties.
Spread the Word! We have assembled a social media toolkit to make it super easy to spread the word. Please consider taking advantage of these great tools by posting them on your social media profiles, including Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. Finally, being a #NewMajority voter is not just about saying it, it is about doing it! If you live in Miami, Orlando, St. Pete or Congressional District 20 be sure to vote and take 3 voters with you! Voting is an important part of how our communities continue to fight for our futures. It is so important and we can't do it without you.
