Today, he published a tweet taking credit for President Biden’s Build Back Better Act while he’s actively working behind closed doors to stop it:
Henry Cuellar has already said he will not support President Biden’s budget — so we’re not buying this, not one bit. We already knew where Cuellar’s priorities are from the get-go, and it is not South Texas. Our community has had enough of Cuellar’s lies and refusal to do what’s right.
We’ll need to scale up our efforts significantly to fund our paid communications and outreach efforts to reach more voters across the district to let them know the truth about Henry Cuellar.
Henry Cuellar isn’t just an out-of-touch corporate Democrat. He’s also a weak candidate to face off against the Republicans next November.
Although Texas’ 28th District reliably votes Democratic, Cuellar’s 16+ year record of selling out our district for his corporate donors puts us in danger of losing this seat to Republicans altogether. That’s why it’s doubly important we secure the Democratic nomination for Jessica Cisneros. And the work to do that must start right now.
