Look, there’s so much at stake for Democrats right now that President Barack Obama himself hit the Virginia campaign trail over the weekend. Here’s what he had to say about Terry McAuliffe:

"When you’ve got someone in your corner who has shown that they will work for you, who has a track record of accomplishments, then you have to go out there and work for them. Not because everything suddenly is going to be perfect, but because it’s going to be better."

It probably comes as no surprise that I agree 💯% with our former president on this one. While no candidate is ever perfect, the difference between the two candidates for VA's governor couldn't be more stark.

On one side there's Democratic former Governor Terry McAuliffe, who's got a track record of delivering for working people across their Commonwealth.

Then there’s his GOP opponent, a Trump-backed ultra-millionaire who wants to restrict abortion access + take a sledgehammer to our sacred right to vote.

Look, as Governor Wolf's right-hand (and occasional anger translator), I know what having a Democrat in a state's *highest office* means for working people — especially with this race locked in a statistical tie.
