Team,

David was on CNN this week to discuss the growing movement to reign in Big Tech, starting with Facebook.

David on CNN

Here’s the problem with Facebook, in David’s words:

“Facebook has demonstrated time and time again that they cannot be trusted either to make the right decisions or to speak honestly about their business practices...Facebook was designed to do exactly what it is doing: To maximize engagement and to drive up revenues in doing so. And that means that the most provocative, most divisive, most hateful and dangerous speech is amplified. That’s their business model.”

Here’s David’s solution:

“We’ve studied this marketplace for sixteen months in the last Congress. We have crafted very specific bills to restore competition in the digital marketplace, and [these bills] passed on the Judiciary committee. Congress needs to take them up and pass them so we can bring real competition, real choice, back online.”

Here’s where you come in, team:

David is out front leading on this, but we’re still behind on our fundraising goal for this month. We need this team to step up if we’re going to keep lobbyists and corporate PACs at bay. Will you rush a contribution of $15, or anything you can afford, to keep David fighting to reign in Big Tech?
