Friends, House progressives have made it clear from the beginning: We will pass the bipartisan infrastructure bill once we vote on a Build Back Better Act to help our communities — and not a moment sooner.

That’s why we’re holding the line and refusing to vote on the infrastructure bill today.

Build Back Better negotiations are still ongoing because instead of centering the needs of the American people, conservative Democrats would rather serve the interests of mega-donors and corporations.

While progressives are fighting for legislation that will build a better future for everyone, conservative Democrats are hell-bent on slashing life-changing policies including paid family and medical leave, lower prescription drug costs, and free community college from the bill. And they are doing everything they can to block expanding Medicare to cover dental and eye care and lowering the eligibility age, too.

We did not come to Congress to watch our entire agenda — the agenda voters asked for — get torpedoed by corporate lobbyists, billionaires, fossil fuel companies, and two conservative Democrat senators.

I will never stop fighting to prioritize people over corporations, but lobbyists are pouring in millions upon millions of dollars to stop us from delivering real change for workers and families. This is a make or break moment. Will you help me fight back by rushing in a donation of any amount?

Thank you. Every dollar we get ahead of our end-of-month deadline will make a difference as we continue our work for progress.

In solidarity,
