John, I am deeply disturbed by yesterday’s news.

Donald Trump announced he may be coming to Virginia.

My extreme opponent, Winsome Sears, is a staunch Trump supporter — she led a pro-Trump national group, and participated in an “Audit the Vote” rally in support of Trump’s Big Election Lie.

And now, with five days left in this race, Trump might be coming to Virginia to campaign for our radical, vaccine-denying opponent.

Here’s the bottom line, John: We must drown out Trump and his rhetoric. He and Winsome Sears’ lies have no place in our Commonwealth — and no place in the Virginia statehouse.

But an appearance from Donald Trump himself could give Sears a boost in the polls. We cannot allow her to win this race when so much is on the line — voting rights, abortion care, affordable health care, and becoming the crucial tie-breaking vote in our split Senate.

I’m calling on 5,000 Democratic supporters to help me beat back Trumpism in Virginia and win this race on Tuesday. Can I count on your $3 today to denounce Trump and Winsome Sears, and elect me as Virginia’s first woman and first Afro‑Latina as Lt. Governor?
