Expel any members of Congress who aided the violent January 6 insurrectionist attack on the U.S. Capitol—sign the petition now.

Violent insurrectionists attacked the Capitol on January 6, seeking to overturn the results of the fair election and leading to multiple deaths and more than 100 injuries in one of the bloodiest days in the history of the U.S. Capitol.

Now, Rolling Stone reports that Republican members of Congress—including Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene, Paul Gosar, Andy Biggs, Mo Brooks, Lauren Boebert, Madison Cawthorn, and Louie Gohmert—and their staff coordinated directly in the planning of the protests and even dangled promises of presidential pardons for acts of lawlessness.¹

Tell Congress that if the January 6 commission presents credible evidence of this, those Representatives must be expelled immediately.

Republican members of Congress spoke at the January 6 rally, and after the insurrection, they’ve cheered and honored the white supremacist protesters, and obstructed efforts to investigate this attack.

The bombshell Rolling Stone investigation supports and expands on the evidence that Reps. Greene, Gosar, Biggs, Brooks, Boebert, Cawthorn, and Gohmert actively encouraged the lawlessness and violence perpetrated by white supremacists, Trump supporters, and other insurrectionists at the Capitol.²

We know that January 6 was just a rehearsal for future attacks on our democracy and elections, as Trump loyalists and white supremacists plan future coups and violence. There must be consequences—including for any members of Congress who helped organize the protests, encouraged the violence, provided information that helped with the planning of the attacks, or have covered up the coup in the months since.

Members of Congress who coordinated illegal or violent activity with insurrection organizers should be expelled from Congress and brought to justice. Sign our petition if you agree—and pass it to your family and friends.
