Texas needs a governor who understands the importance of stopping the insurgency at our southern border. 

I explained in my latest Chalk Talk that foreign policy can have vitally important ramifications on the safety and security of our great state, and our country.

What people need to realize is that we are not dealing with low-level street criminals at our border.

We are dealing with an insurgency headed by trans-national narco-criminal terrorist organization.

This organization works with ISIS, the Taliban, Al-Qaeda, Iran, and China to bring in fentanyl, methamphetamines, marijuana, and other drugs across the border. They facilitate human trafficking, including sex trafficking, on a scale never seen before in this country. 

We are dealing with the 21st century Slave Trade, and it starts right here in Texas. 

By failing to prevent this travesty, our leaders have abandoned their Constitutional duties. 

It is time for those duties to be fulfilled. 

As governor, I will utilize all resources at my disposal to put a stop to the border crisis and stick it to the trans-national narco-criminal terrorist organizations plaguing Texas and America. 

National Guard troops will be deployed, conducting consistent patrols and keeping the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants at bay - no matter where they come from.
