BREAKING NEWS: Friend, we just got notice that the House is voting on the infrastructure bill SOON. This is on the heels of endless partisan infighting and horse-trading over the larger $3.5 trillion spending spree bill, which some refer to as the “human infrastructure” or “social welfare” bill. What do you think about the infrastructure bill? Do you think it should include anything other than infrastructure items? CAST YOUR VOTE Many far-left progressives in Congress used the infrastructure bill as leverage to get their radical wish list items funded in the larger social welfare bill. They held up a vote on this infrastructure bill until that happened, and some refused to vote on it until they got a vote on the larger $3.5T big-government spending bill (causing Speaker Pelosi to break a promise to moderate members). There’s a chance some may try to block it on the House floor today. It’s a bit confusing, I know. This is what putting partisanship and politics over smart policy looks like.
