Here’s one thing you should know about Tom Perez: He’s an action-oriented leader.

I first learned this about him when I began representing the great state of Minnesota in Congress. When Tom was Labor Secretary and Head of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, we worked together to solve some of our nations’ toughest civil and labor rights issues for working people. I was reminded of it working with him to elect Democrats up and down the ballot all over the country at the DNC.

Tom doesn’t just talk about solving tough problems -- he walks the walk. Tom knows how to convene the right people in a room, develop a plan, and take care of business. I truly believe that we hold the White House, Senate, and House of Representatives as a result of Tom’s leadership.
