** A United States of Clean Energy ([link removed]) !
------------------------------------------------------------

All week long, we have been highlighting how land-based and offshore wind power, solar power, energy storage, and transmission infrastructure deliver increasingly affordable, reliable, clean energy to millions of American families and businesses, and how together, clean energy is powering good-paying American jobs across all 50 states.

Join in on the national celebration and conversation on social media by using the hashtags #AmericanCleanPowerWeek and #UnitedStatesofCleanEnergy.

Studies show transmission upgrades more than pay for themselves because of the increased reliability and economic benefits of more efficient transmission.

Studies also found the benefits of transmission upgrades are 2.6 to 3.9 times greater than their cost. Upgrades would save an average $2,400 per customer.

WIth 70% of transmission lines over 25 years old, the ASCE ranked America’s power grid infrastructure an unacceptable D+.

Building more reliable resilient power transmission systems, lowers costs, reduces pollution, creates jobs, and will strengthen the United States economy.

In Congress, I will work with my colleagues to ensure that sustainable power production and transmission infrastructure investment in Congressional District Four and rural America is made a National Priority. ([link removed])

As your representative, I will support the Climate Change National Security Act and work with its co-sponsors to ensure that National Policy incorporates the far reaching recommendations of the Climate and Security Advisory Group. ([link removed])

All of Government solutions are immediately required. This week is all about solutions. Climate change is real, so….

What we can do about it:
* Demonstrating Leadership by making Climate Change a Vital National Security Priority and creating a new White House Office on Climate Security to oversee implementation of Department of Defense and interagency efforts.
* Realistically Assessing Climate Risks through the creation of an interagency Climate Security Crisis Watch Center under the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
* Supporting Allies and Partners by creating Regional Climate Security Plans in critical regions of the world to bolster climate resilience and clean energy transitions in key countries, including our own.
* Preparing for and Preventing Future Climate Disruption through a Climate Security Infrastructure Initiative to improve the climate resilience of our critical national infrastructure, and an economy-wide Climate Security Prevention Policy both within the United States and abroad to rapidly reduce greenhouse gas emissions at the scale necessary to avoid catastrophic security consequences while bolstering economic development.

New national poll shows overwhelming support among voters for clean energy and its benefits to environment, jobs, and the economy! ([link removed])
