Once a decade, state legislatures have an opportunity to ensure congressional districts are fairly and accurately drawn. Unfortunately, Betsy DeVos and GOP extremists are hell-bent on using this opportunity to fundamentally undermine our democracy.
Earlier this month, a report showed that extremists linked to Betsy DeVos are working to stop Michigan’s independent commission from drawing representative maps and instead rig the system in their favor.
When they lose, they cheat and lie. The best thing we can do is continue to work to elect Democrats up and down the ticket in 2022 and beyond.
It’s not an exaggeration to say that the only thing standing between our democracy and the shady GOP efforts working to undermine it is this powerful grassroots team.
As Democrats, it’s on us to stand up for our democracy here in Michigan and across the country.
