Participating in WAVE's Day of Action is the most important action you can take this year to end gun violence in Wisconsin, and the day is quickly approaching! 

In just over a week, on November 9th, you will be able to show Wisconsin legislators that Wisconsinites want them to support the lifesaving gun violence prevention bills that were recently introduced:

1. Requirement for background checks on all guns sales
2. Process for obtaining extreme risk protection orders (ERPO) to temporarily remove guns when individuals are in imminent danger of harming themselves or others
3. Prohibition from possessing a firearm for a person who has been convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence

Likewise, it's your chance to demand that they reject the series of dangerous, pro-gun bills they've introduced that will put us all in more danger by

1. Allowing the possession of a firearm in a vehicle on school grounds 
2. Lowering the minimum age to be eligible to carry a concealed weapon
3. Allowing people with out-of-state licenses to carry a concealed firearm in Wisconsin
4. Limiting civil liability for the entire gun industry
5. Allowing the possession of a firearm in a place of worship on the grounds of a private school
6. Allowing permitless carry by eliminating requirements for a license or training and eliminating prohibitions for carrying concealed firearms in specific places, such as mental health facilities and bars

This event will be all virtual. You will have the opportunity to speak with legislators, or, if you are not interested in talking, you can simply show up to demonstrate our strength in numbers. Either way, your presence will make a difference!! I hope to see you in 11 days!
