Last month, my neighbor’s dearest friend killed herself. She was a Christian. She had family and friends who loved her. She was under the care of several mental health professionals. She was on medication for depression. But in a moment of darkness and hopelessness, she took her own life. Suicide doesn’t play, and Satan wants nothing more than to pin us in a moment of despair. This week’s conversation with Dr. Karl Benzio show’s there’s another way. If you or someone you love is struggling with depression or thoughts of self-harm, get help immediately. You are loved, and God is near.
