Earlier today, Donald Trump brought his xenophobia and hate right here to our doorstep in Chicago.
He railed against immigrants, attacked the character of our hardworking police force, and used his visit to question the values of our city and the people of Chicago.
After one of my children was bullied, I built a national non-profit to address the problem of bullying in schools. I know a bully when I see one. I’m running for Congress because a bully took over the White House in 2016, and I’m tired of watching my Congressman do nothing to stand up to him.
If you want a representative who will stand up to Donald Trump, I need you to chip in today.
Let’s be clear. My opponent votes with Donald Trump more than any other Democrat in Illinois -- one third of the time to be exact.
He’s voted for wall funding, called Trump a “champion of immigration reform,” supported the Republican agenda to attack affordable healthcare, and has time and time again ignored the best interests of our community.
I will not back down from this bully.
Thank you,
Marie
