** Its time to take action!

A proposed change yesterday to southern Arizona voting district maps by the Independent Redistricting Commission threatens our ability to elect the representatives we want for the next 10 years!

The proposal yesterday from Commissioner David Mehl (R) is to move two Democratic strongholds, Tubac, Amado, and Quail Creek, into the reliably-Republican Cochise County, LD19. Additionally, he suggested also removing Sonoita - Elgin as well. His proposal replaces these communities with Davis Monthan Air Base, which would neutralize liberal voters who are left in our LD20! Note: Santa Cruz County currently is located, in its entirety, in LD2 - if this suggestion is taken seriously we would be a divided County.
