First Hand Account of Socialism

In this week’s episode of [3]Matter of Action, Wayne Morrow talks with
author and historian Frank de Verona, who grew up in Cuba and witnessed the
communist takeover by Fidel Castro.

De Varona explains that in 1958, Cuba was one of the most prosperous Latin
American countries. Within just a few years of Castro coming to power, the
economy crashed and food was rationed. Morrow and De Varona compare this to
Venezuela, which used to be the richest country in Latin America due to its
oil fields, but today people are eating out of garbage trucks.

De Verona tells Morrow that the Spanish-speaking news channels promote
socialism, so he has been busy educating Latinos in Florida. He stresses
the importance of teaching the millennial generation, who have been
indoctrinated since a very young age.

De Verona says that as parents, we all have the responsibility to teach our
children about socialism, otherwise we will lose our nation.
