Dear Autism Advocate,

Congress is on the verge of reaching agreement on a historic spending
bill. It is now more important than ever that they hear from YOU
on why a big investment in home and community-based services (HCBS)
should be a top priority! To make our voices heard, individuals across
the country are joining together to advocate for HCBS.

Join today's National Day of Action by contacting your members
of Congress!

A majority of the lifelong supports that people with autism rely on to
live, remain safe and participate in their communities are funded by
Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services. HCBS provide a wide array
of supports like day programs and residential services. However, it is
often difficult for individuals to access high-quality,
individualized, community-based services because of limited capacity
issues, which have worsened due to the pandemic. Without additional
funds, state Medicaid programs cannot meet the needs of families and
autistic individuals who need support now more than ever.

While Congress is working on a budget reconciliation bill, we need
your help today. Ask Congress to invest in HCBS and ensure the infrastructure is in place to provide high-quality HCBS for all autistic individuals who require them: [link removed]

Thank you for lending your voice to the cause!
