But with all that stacked against students, is truancy just another burden?

PublicSource reporter TyLisa C. Johnson investigated how Pittsburgh Public Schools handled truancy among their students last school year, how frequently the district referred kids to court and concerns about truancy for this school year. She also spoke with advocates and researchers pushing for changes to truancy laws and absence policies that may unfairly punish students.
