We're working to turn out voters for the 2021 Election in the final days of the election and we could use your help! Will you volunteer to phone bank voters and encourage them to get their ballots turned in?

It's super easy, and you can do it from the comfort of your home! If you're interested, click here to sign up for a shift!

6 Days Until Election Day! (Tuesday, November 2)

We are 6 days from the 2021 Election -- that is LESS THAN 1 WEEK -- and there are a lot of ballots to be cast!

Don't take it from us -- check out this article from Colorado Public Radio:

As a reminder, last year, Colorado had the second highest voter turnout nationwide at 86.5%. Friends don't let friends skip elections, and this year is no exception -- there's a lot at stake, including local offices (like school boards and city councils) and ballot measures that immediately impact your community. Make sure you don't sit out this election!

Let's finish strong, and get those ballots turned in!

There are a lot of candidates to vote for! And they're running for local offices that may impact you more than Congress, the U.S. Senate, or even the Presidency! It's your local city council offices, Mayoral offices, and School Board offices!

Republicans would love nothing more than to rebuild their bench by electing unqualified, right-wing activists to these offices, and we need to turn out!

So click here to make sure your voter registration is up to date and VOTE!

What's at Stake in 2021

There's a lot of candidates and a lot of ballot measures to vote on this November! Here's some guidance!

David's Messaging Minute!

Democrats Fight for Working Families.

Republicans Fight for Billionaires.

As you may have heard, Democrats are currently in negotiations in the Senate over President Biden's infrastructure plan. One of the measures to pay for the plan is the corporate minimum tax, which has garnered support from key Senators Kyrsten Sinema (AZ) and Joe Manchin (WV).

Like clockwork, Republicans panned the idea of making billionaires pay their fair share in taxes.

  • HuffPost: “Republicans Go To Bat For Billionaires Targeted By Democratic Tax Plan”
  • HuffPost: “Democrats want to tax the richest people in America to help pay for new programs like paid leave, tax cuts for parents and health care for seniors and poor people. But the idea is running into fierce resistance from Republican lawmakers who often represent the interests of the exceedingly wealthy on Capitol Hill.”
  • HuffPost: “The wealthiest 400 billionaires paid an effective tax rate of just 8.2% from 2010 through 2018, according to a September analysis by economists at the White House Council of Economic Advisers and the Office of Management and Budget.”

Meanwhile, when Republicans aren't going to bat for billionaires, they're attacking tax cuts for middle-income families and low-income families like the expanded child tax cut.

  • Business Insider: "Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell assailed the expanded child tax credit payments on Tuesday, deriding the Democratic measure as welfare assistance."

To quote President Biden, here's the deal: Democrats expanded the child tax credit for low and middle income families -- a policy idea to cut childhood poverty in half that Senator Michael Bennet has been working on since 2015. This tax cut, which is advanced to eligible families through monthly payments, lifted 3 million children out of poverty in July.

  • Census: “Three in 10 families that received monthly Advance Child Tax Credit (CTC) payments spent them on kids’ school expenses, and 1 in 4 families with young children used them to cover child care costs, according to new results from the U.S. Census Bureau’s experimental Household Pulse Survey (HPS).”

*This* is what Republicans are opposing. Meanwhile, Mitch McConnell is going all out to protect his billionaire pals from having to pay their fair share in taxes.

So to recap: Democrats fight for working families. Republicans fight for billionaires.

And remember...
