** Executive Director Transition Announcement and Search
------------------------------------------------------------
It is with a mix of gratitude and sadness that the Anchorage Coalition to End Homelessness (ACEH) Board of Directors announces Jasmine Boyle’s upcoming departure as Executive Director. Over the last several years, Jasmine has been instrumental in developing ACEH into a community-wide coalition focused on making homelessness in Anchorage rare, brief, and one-time. We thank Jasmine for her dedication to furthering ACEH’s mission and vision, commitment to our vulnerable neighbors and recognize her contributions to our city. Jasmine has been the driving force behind ACEH’s growth and success as an organization.

Jasmine will be joining Rural Alaska Community Action Program Inc. (RurAL CAP) as Chief Operating Officer in December of 2021. Jasmine will continue to support our shared mission in her new role working with Alaska’s only Community Action Agency to address poverty by improving health, well-being and the lives of Alaskans across the state.

Over the next several months, the ACEH Board, with the assistance of the Advisory Council, will be conducting a thorough search to find ACEH’s next Executive Director. The Board’s priority is to identify a dynamic leader with a passion for ACEH’s mission and who will continue to emphasize partnerships and collective action to solve homelessness in Anchorage.

Nathan Johnson, Board of Directors Chair

Judith Crotty, Board of Directors Vice- Chair,

** United Way of Anchorage
------------------------------------------------------------
Home for Good Anchorage (HFG) is a Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) project serving individuals who exhibit patterns of persistent homelessness, have frequent encounters with corrections and emergency services, and often live with challenges including substance use disorders, mental illness, or developmental disabilities. Following a pilot period, HFG launched a 3-year project in October 2020.

With the first year of the project complete, the HFG leadership team is looking for additional Anchorage community organizations to serve HFG enrollees. The United Way of Anchorage (UWA) is issuing this Request for Qualification to help determine the interest, capacity, and expertise of potential partners. UWA intends to select and onboard additional providers to participate in the remainder of the project, which is currently
scheduled to end September 30, 2023. Extensions may be possible and will be negotiated with service provider contract holders as needed.

** Providence Alaska Community Health Needs Assessment
------------------------------------------------------------
Your partnership is crucial to ensure all voices are captured. Once every three years Providence Alaska conducts a Community Health Needs Assessment in collaboration with a number of community partners. As part of the assessment, we are fielding a new survey tool developed by the Providence Institute for Healthier Communities in collaboration with the University of Washington called the Health and Wellbeing Monitor (HWBM). The HWBM addresses not only health needs, but also looks at community well-being and perceived capacity to affect change.

The survey adds value to your community and your organization.
* The information gathered from this survey will be invaluable to all social-service agencies, health care providers and policymakers in their effort to improve the health and well-being of those they serve during these difficult times – especially those who are in low-income and underserved communities and populations.

The survey also features a question asking respondents their connection to local organizations and provides a list with an “other” write-in option. Respondents may then specify whether they are connected to your organization as an employee, volunteer, and/or clients-program beneficiary. This allows you to receive data to help you better understand the well-being of your various organizational stakeholders

Your partnership will help ensure all voices are captured in this survey.
* In order to make sure we have strong representation across the Anchorage community, especially among low-income, underserved or at-risk communities, we ask that you and your organization help promote this survey to your community partners, employees, clients and community members.

The attached flyer lists the website and a QR code that can be easily used with a smartphone to access the survey. The survey is anonymous and takes roughly 10 minutes to complete.
