The Supreme Court yet again failed to block the overreaching ban on abortion in Texas. Dem AGs won’t let our rights be taken away without a fight in and out of the courtroom.
Friend,
On Friday, the Supreme Court declined a request from President Biden’s Justice Department to block Texas’ unreasonable, conservative ban on abortion after just six weeks of pregnancy.
Instead, the court agreed to hear two major challenges to the law starting NEXT WEEK. That’s why a coalition of 24 Democratic Attorneys General just filed another legal brief this morning urging SCOTUS to halt this unconstitutional ban.
This Texas law could open the floodgates for restrictions in dozens of other states that would further prevent access to safe abortion. That’s why we need Attorneys General who fight for our rights, including the right to reproductive health care.
DAGA is the first political committee that only supports Democratic pro-choice, pro-reproductive rights candidates for Attorney General, and we will never waver on that promise, friend.
We can’t let Republican officials continue to dictate who does and doesn’t have the right to an abortion. This SCOTUS ruling is just the latest in a long line of anti-choice decisions by a disproportionately conservative judicial system.
