This Sunday marks our end-of-month fundraising deadline. In many ways, it's our most important one yet. It's the first since we found out that California's 23rd Congressional District grew by over 10% in the latest Census count. We'll almost certainly see a shift in the district boundaries, bringing new voters into the fold.
This is a huge opportunity. We might be looking at a more competitive district, and it's the first time California will mail every registered voter a ballot. We have a chance to reach new, undecided, and irregular voters before Kevin McCarthy does.
We have a big advantage. McCarthy's completely out of touch with the needs of our community. Instead of supporting working families in our district, he's protecting Trump and the furthest right-wing members of his caucus.
With final district lines nearly in place, this might be our best opportunity in years to give him the toughest fight of his career. Plus, every moment he spends fighting off our campaign in his backyard is one less minute he has to help the Republicans retake the House. That alone is worth asking:
