Dear xxxxxx,

This coming Sunday is our last end-of-month deadline before I head into a special redistricting session in the Georgia House.

So, I thought it would be fitting to tell you why this redistricting fight is yet another example of why it’s so important that we elect a Democratic Governor and Lieutenant Governor next year.

In more than one state, a Democratic Governor and Lieutenant Governor are the only thing standing in the way of GOP legislatures’ unjust, racist, and anti-democratic gerrymandering proposals.

That won’t be the case in Georgia this year, y’all. In all likelihood, the corrupt GA GOP will gerrymander our state as much as they possibly can to buy themselves an unfair advantage in our elections.

But that doesn’t mean we should give up, xxxxxx. It means that we should take deadlines like this one seriously and put in the early, long-term effort we need to mobilize Georgia voters and take back our state next year.
