Early childhood education is one of the most important steps a parent can take to set up their children for a lifetime of success. Unfortunately, not every parent can afford to provide this for their children.

Every year, children all across our country at a critical moment in their young lives are not able to start learning numbers, colors, and their ABCs. For many parents, this isn’t a matter of not wanting to give their children a head start, but something they simply cannot afford to provide.

President Biden’s Build Back Better plan includes universal, free preschool and with the support of Future Forum Democrats we’re on the verge of making this happen. If our children really are the future, then we need to make sure they receive the education they need at a critical young age and are prepared to hit the ground running as they embark on their educational path.
