The New York Times reports, "Democrats Hammer Out Novel Plan to Tax
Billionaires."

One of the unsung heroes of this fight is Senate Finance Chair Ron Wyden.
He told The Times, "What we’re dealing with here are flagrant loopholes in
the tax code. They’re legal, but I’m going to close them.”

Our progressive lobbying team (P Street, the progressive alternative to K
Street) has worked with Wyden for months to prepare for this moment.
Billionaires are now actively lobbying against Wyden -- and likely will
spend against him in his re-election this cycle.
