Texas Constitutional Amendment Election

DON'T FORGET TO VOTE!

Vote "FOR" Proposition 3, the Religious Freedom Amendment

Proposition 3 passed the Texas Legislature with bipartisan support during the regular Texas legislative session. Its purpose is to protect churches and places of worship, as well as religious organizations, from being shut down by the government such as happened during the initial phases of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Now it's on the ballot November 2, 2021 as a constitutional amendment proposal. Every registered voter in the state gets a chance weigh in, and early voting has already started!

Prop. 3 is a formidable protection for our religious freedom rights! We need you to vote "For" Prop. 3 on the ballot to enshrine protection for churches and religious organizations in the Texas Constitution.

During 2020, churches and places of worship across the country were prevented from meeting in person, singing, or congregational worship by government social distancing mandates. All the while, bike shops, liquor stores, and other businesses were considered "essential" and allowed to stay open. This cannot happen ever again. Find out more about Prop. 3 here.

The actual language on the ballot reads:

"The constitutional amendment to prohibit this state or a political subdivision of this state from prohibiting or limiting religious services of religious organizations."

This sounds confusing. However, it's just saying that it stops state and local governments from preventing a person from receiving religious services. Click here to see a sample ballot.
